Certificate Course Data Librarian

The certificate course "Data Librarian" is an advanced training course offered by ZBIW and is supported and guided by the staff of ZB MED - Information Centre for Life Sciences, lecturers from Technical University of Cologne and lecturers from other libraries and library institutions. ZBIW is a nationwide provider of continuing education for employees of public and academic libraries and other information institutions.

The certificate course qualifies employees of academic libraries for new tasks in this context and makes them "data competent". In six modules, overview knowledge from the areas of programming, research data, database systems, licenses, big data, bibliometrics, search engine technology and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Konrad Förstner is the scientific and technical director of the course.
