NFDI4Microbiota - positive first statement of the expert committee

Consortium participated in the second round of the NFDI call for proposals in September 2020. 

At the beginning of December 2020, the representatives the proposal to an expert committee. Last week, this panel has now presented its expert opinion, which gives the NFDI4Microbiota application an outstanding rating. The consortium sees this as confirmation of its path and is now looking forward with great confidence to the next step of the review process: The final decision on funding for the NFDI consortia will be made by the Joint Science Conference (GWK) in June 2021.

The NFDI4Microbiota consortium is made up of ten co-applicant institutions and includes more than 50 participants from the microbiological research community. Prof. Dr. Konrad Förstner from ZB MED and Prof. Dr. Alice McHardy from the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research have taken on the role of spokesperson.
