The Cochrane Collaboration is a global scientific network that works to ensure that decisions on health issues are based on high-quality, relevant and up-to-date scientific evidence. The Cochrane Library is the organisation's online library. Its databases contain scientific evidence on issues in all areas of health care and on methodological aspects of evidence-based medicine and evidence-based health care.

With the temporary free access, the Cochrane Collaboration joins a global initiative of scientific publication publishers to make medical literature publicly available in the current crisis situation.
