The Digital Library of ZB MED: Key Services at a Glance

From e-books and databases to search portals – resources you can access anytime, anywhere for research, study and teaching.

The library’s realignment places a stronger focus on digital services. Here you will find a concise overview of our most important online resources for the life sciences:

  • Remote Access to E-Books and E-Journals
    Registered users residing in Germany receive free access to more than 30,000 scholarly e-books and e-journals.

    With ZB MED’s virtual library card, you can use the Embase and CINAHL databases free of charge for literature searches in medicine, pharmacy, nursing sciences and the health professions.

    Europe’s largest search engine for literature and information in the life sciences contains around 80 million records.

  • Order and Receive Literature
    Specialist literature can be ordered via interlibrary loan, the subito document delivery service or the NLM Service. Charges apply to these services.
