Making preprints more usable as a source of information

TH Köln and ZB MED develop an information extraction pipeline for preprints in a DFG project

In the project PIXLS - Preprint Information eXtraction for Life Sciences, the TH Köln and ZB MED will develop an application over the next three years that automatically makes preprint servers accessible. This will enable the research community to make better use of the current information published on preprint servers - which therefore hardly ever appears in classic reference and search systems. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding the project in the framework programme e-Research Technologies.
