One click ahead: ZB MED search portal LIVIVO integrates preprints into its search function
Preprints are scientific manuscripts that are made freely available before they have undergone peer review, a formal evaluation process. Such evaluation is usually a prerequisite for publication in a scientific journal. Preprints thus enable the rapid exchange of new findings and promote open science.
Preprints are now integrated into the search function in LIVIVO. They are clearly marked as such. Researchers gain early access to the latest results – even before they appear in journals.
Advanced filter options for targeted searches
With the integration of preprints, LIVIVO has also expanded its filter functions. Users can now narrow their literature search specifically to preprints or exclude them, depending on their needs and research questions.
