Second DataCite Workshop in Hamburg
Places are available to attend a practical workshop at the German National Library of Economics (ZBW) in Hamburg on 16 January 2014. The workshop is organised by the German members of DataCite, namely the German National Library of Medicine (ZB MED), GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) and the German National Library of Economics – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics (ZBW).
It is aimed at anyone interested in issues regarding the production and management of research data, particularly institutions that already use DataCite to assign digital object identifiers (DOIs) to research data.
The workshop's keynote address will be given by Peter Wittenburg (Senior Advisor of the Language Archive Unit at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, Netherlands). He will be presenting the Research Data Alliance, a worldwide initiative aimed at coordinating and promoting trends and developments in the field of data-driven research and innovation on a global scale.
Participation in the workshop is free. More information (in German)
