Vom 27. bis 30. September 2011 findet in Freiburg die BMT 2011, Tagung der Biomedizinischen Technik statt, die gleichzeitig die 45. Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Biomedizinische Technik im VDE (DGBMT) ist. Mit erwarteten rund 600 Fachbeiträgen und 800 Teilnehmern aus Hochschulen, Forschungseinrichtungen, Kliniken und Unternehmen wird die BMT 2011 neue Impulse für Forschung und Innovation in der Medizintechnik geben. Tagungspräsidenten sind Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Stieglitz und Prof. Dr. Gerald A. Urban vom Institut für Mikrosystemtechnik (IMTEK) der Universität Freiburg. Veranstalter der BMT 2011 sind die DGBMT, das IMTEK und die Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
