DINI-OAI-Validator – Quality assurance for publication platforms
DINI, the German Initiative for Network Information, awards a Certificate for Open Access Publication Services to OA repositories and publication services that meet its catalogue of criteria. This certificate has been highly successful in promoting the practical implementation of common standards and recommendations for open science. The DINI-OAI Validator tool plays an important role in validating the adoption of these standards. Over time, it has moved beyond its certification remit to become a popular instrument for repositories that wish to effectively validate the quality of their service. After many years of successful operation, the DINI-OAI Validator needed a fundamental overhaul. The DOV-QuaPub project has modernized and enhanced this essential service, aligning it with real-world user requirements.
