Profile
Abanoub Abdelmalak received his Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from the German University in Cairo, Egypt, in 2017. During his senior year, he developed an interest in computer science and artificial intelligence, which he furthered by earning a Master of Science in Autonomous Systems from Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in 2023. His studies focused on generative AI and neural networks in chemistry. He gained professional and academic experience in software project management and scientific work during his studies. After graduating in 2023, he joined ZB MED as a research assistant on the Knowledge Management Team, where he works on pipelines for extracting information from text in the medical and agricultural domains and evaluates state-of-the-art methods in the field.
