2nd round of NFDI calls: good chances for ZB MED
Today, the German Research Foundation (DFG) informed the applicants of the 2nd call round of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) about the recommendations of the expert panel on their proposals submitted last year. Two consortia in which ZB MED is involved received this funding recommendation:
- NFDI4Microbiota - led by ZB MED and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, ten co-applicant institutions and more than 50 participants from the microbiology research community came together and submitted a joint funding application last year.
- NFDI4DataScience - under the leadership of the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems - FOKUS, 14 co-applicants - among them ZB MED - participated in the second round of the NFDI. The participants have set themselves the goal of research data management for data science and artificial intelligence.
The final decision on the funding of the NFDI consortia will be made by the Joint Science Conference in early July.
