Project description
MEZHMedInform is a cooperative project designed to promote the supply of medical information and literature in Russia.
Using the "Knowledge Finder" database software designed by Aries Medical Knowledge, users of scientific libraries and key research institutions were able to conduct free searches of the Medline, Cancerlit und Aidsline medical databases.
As Europe's biggest medical library, the ZB MED took responsibility for delivering the requested journal articles by post or by electronic means. The software inserted the ZB MED’s shelf mark in the order form even before the order was submitted, thereby ensuring that every order could be filled.
Targeted advertising and promotional campaigns resulted in huge increases in use, indicating high levels of acceptance among MEZHMedInform users.
