Im Rahmen der „Westdeutschen Fachtagung für individuelle Kniegelenksendoprothetik“ am 11. und 12. April 2014 werden im Klinikum Dortmund Mitte und im St. Josef-Hospital Bochum die Möglichkeiten der individuellen Prothesenversorgung diskutiert. Ist diese neue Knieprothetik ein Qualitätssprung in Planung, Instrumentation, OP-Logistik und OP-Technik? Referenten wie Dr. Wolfgang Fitz (Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA), Prof. Dr. Christoph von Schulze Pellengahr (Klinikdirektor St. Josef-Hospital Bochum) und Prof. Dr. Bernd-Dietrich Katthagen (Klinikdirektor Klinikum Dortmund Mitte) besprechen und praktizieren in Foren, Live-OP und Workshops den Einsatz moderner Endoprothesen, die mit Hilfe von Computertomografie und 3D-Druckern inzwischen individuell für jeden Patienten gefertigt werden.
