Opening of the reading rooms in the LFI building and access to literature at the Cologne site
You can book the study and workplaces, 40 of which are in the main building and 75 in the LFI building, either from 9:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 19:00. Before opening and between 13:00 and 14:00, all workplaces will be cleaned and disinfected. Please note that the LFI building closes half an hour earlier in each case, so that the workplaces there are only available until 12:30 or 18:30.
You can reserve the workplaces via the booking system.
From 26 July, access to the media on the ground floor, the 1st and 2nd floors and in the LF building will be possible again. The following conditions apply:
- Users who book a learning and workplace can also use the holdings.
- Users who have not booked a place can go to the reading room for 20 minutes after registering at the lending desk in order to search for media and/or scan articles.
- We have to limit the maximum number of people who can look for media in the reading rooms at the same time. Therefore, there may be waiting times.
- The media can be borrowed via the self-service check-out.
- If you would like to work with the holdings for a longer period of time (scanning journal articles, etc.), please book a study and workplace. To access the holdings, you can then move around the entire building. Please follow the given routing in the main building.
Furthermore, the following regulations apply:
- Access to the reading rooms is only possible with a negative corona test result, which must not be older than 48 hours, proof of full vaccination protection or recovery from a Covid 19 disease.
- Wearing a medical mouth and nose protection (FFP2, KN95 or surgical mask) is mandatory for all users - also at the learning and working place.
